Feeling stressed is something we all experience from time to time. A particular situation or event may stress us, or we can experience overwhelm and stress as a reaction to something. Some level of stress can be good for us, keeping us healthily alert and motivated. BUT stress becomes a problem when it overwhelms us, affects our behaviours and choices, impacts our health & wellbeing and stops us doing things that we know are good for us to do .
There are lots of ways we can learn to cope with stress better, but when we are chronically stressed, the feeling that we 'should be doing something to relax' can sometimes add to our stress levels.

I can help you come up with strategies and coping techniques to reduce stress and cope better with it when it arises.
We may work on changing habits and behaviours that result in negative stress for you and develop your emotional resilience to be better cope with situations and events that are outwith your control. Often it’s not the event itself that’s stressful, but our reaction to it. We can work on that.
