Ongoing pain can, and often does, stop us from doing the things we enjoy and affects how we go about our every day activities. It can become increasingly frustrating to know what helps, what makes it worse, if we should still do things despite the pain, or stop doing them altogether.
Movement is increasingly being evidenced as one of (if not THE) best ways to reduce pain in the body.

But where do you start and how do you learn to move without pain? It can be difficult sometime to even imagine moving without pain if it has been present for a long time. We take our time, we start with where you CAN move pain free and we gradually expand that. With the correct support you can move well, without pain and without the protective patterns of holding, bracing or stress that you've had to apply in order to deal with the pain.

I've worked with hundreds of clients and it never ceases to amaze me how much the body wants to move well and also how well it responds when we slow things down initially and give it time to get used to moving safely. Then we can build up progressively and consistently without the body responding with pain.
I have extensive experience of working with specific needs such as low back pain, sciatica, sacro-illiac joint pain, disc herniation / bulge recovery, frozen shoulder, IT band syndrome, plantar fasciitis, pelvic floor issues, arthritis, neck and shoulder pain, joint replacement recovery.
I have been incredibly fortunate to work alongside and learn from many great osteos, physios, manual therapists, and other practitioners at the forefront of movement and pain science.
The content of our sessions are individually tailored to you based on what's currently going on for you, where you want to be, how you learn, and how your body moves.

Ultimately I want you to get back to living your life pain free, doing things you enjoy and feeling more balanced, stable and in control again.

Sessions take place in person at my home studio in Midlothian (online sessions may be possible once we have had a session in person first)
