Yoga by its nature is therapeutic, and can bring many positive benefits - physically, mentally and emotionally. Through its teaching we can learn to find balance, stability, flexibility and strength - of body, mind and spirit.
We may come to yoga for physical reasons and discover that we feel mentally or emotionally better too. Or we may come to it to feel mentally or emotionally better and find that we feel better in our body also.
Ultimately we cannot separate them out because the mind and the body are not separate. 

'Therapeutic yoga' is essentially yoga designed specifically for certain needs. So our sessions are completely individualised to where and how you are now and to help us to address some of the challenges you are experiencing. 

Some of the challenges that I work with people to overcome are:
low mood
anxiety
low self esteem
​eating disorders
compulsive exercise
OCD
mood swings
body shame
​emotional disregulation


In our sessions together we will use yoga as the foundation for learning how to overcome your particular challenge. ​I am here to offer you a sense of space, reflection and clarity. I will help you to gain an understanding and insight of your patterns and give you a safe non-judgemental environment to reflect and process your feelings. 

Yoga is not about being bendy or being able to get into a 'perfect' pose (although if you can that is ok too!). You don't need to buy fancy gear or get fit for these session. You just need to bring yourself and a willingness to learn new skills and strategies. It is suitable for you whether or not you have ever done yoga before.
