Psychotherapy + Counselling
Some of the things I might support you with are:

Reducing anxiety and overwhelm
Moving through difficult life changes or challenges
Improving self esteem
Lifting low mood
Recovering from burn-out, feeling run down and wrung out
Addressing a difficult relationship with food or your body
Exploring unmasking and self identity after late-diagnosis autism
Finding it difficult to move on from a traumatic life event or experience
Chronic pain or fatigue
I have a tool kit of many different modalities that include behavioural, humanistic, creative, cognitive, person-centred and somatic therapies. I draw on what best suits your way of communicating and your needs at the time. It's not your role to fit my tools, but rather it's for me to use my skills and experience in accordance with who you are and what you bring to the space. You can read more about my approach, experience and qualifications in the 'About Me' page.

I meet you where you are at, respect your individuality & aim to be a steady anchor for you throughout your time of therapy with me. We may meet some moments that are challenging to explore but we will only ever go at a pace or depth that you feel supported at.

Counselling sessions usually start off either weekly or fortnightly in oder to have some momentum. These are usually scheduled at the same set time, but some flexibility is available. We will then decide together during the course of therapy when to reduce or finish sessions.

I work on an open-ended basis - there is no commitment to a set number of sessions. I do suggest however making a 'soft' commitment to at least 6 sessions. This gives us both time to understand the issues that have brought you to counselling, to form our collaborative relationship and to allow change to happen.

Life is full of ups and downs and everybody experiences difficulties and faces challenges at some point. We don't always have the capacity to deal with these things on our own.

Psychotherapy and Counselling sessions offer you a confidential and non-judgemental space to talk though your thoughts, feelings and experiences in ways that make sense to you.

I aim here to listen, to truly hear you, and to facilitate new understanding and perspective of the challenges and issues that you experiencing.

Together from here we can create new solutions and paths forward to help you feel more steady and resourced within yourself.
